Brent Sopel, The Players’ Tribune, and Storytelling

The Players’ Tribune captivates me. It could be the forever athlete in me, but I absolutely love hearing sports stories from a player’s perspective. Often, the Players’ Tribune opens sheds light on the life of a professional sports athlete. It’s not all glitz and glamour, as we so often fantasize it to be. Many times the stories of struggle and pain–things we all can relate to.

Brent Sopel, a hockey player who’s career I followed closely, recently penned his story for the Tribune. It’s real, raw, and important.

Take a read and share your thoughts.
